DRAFT REVOLUTION

Draft Mannequins was born in 2002 with a revolutionary proposal. For several decades, dress forms in Brazil were made for the European and American markets, and were manufactured with rigid materials, such as pressed cardboard and fiberglass.

When developing dress forms with standardized measures for the biotype of brazilian people, from her master's research, Elaine Radicetti sought alternative materials, with properties that would facilitate working with her great passion, three-dimensional modeling.

For the first time in the world, mannequins were soft, allowing fabrics to be easily pinned to their surface. And for the first time in history, mannequins met the curves and proportions of the bodies of brazilians people. And such groundbreaking three-dimensional shapes were great evolution in relation to any other dress form produced worldwide. We are extremely proud to know that these revolutionary dress forms left the factory with the Draft brand embroidered on the neck.

Expertise, we've got it!

The knowledge applied in the development, manufacture and constant evolution of our products, was acquired in a lifetime dedicated to the study and exhaustive application of three-dimensional modeling. Elaine Radicetti graduated at Senai-Cetiqt, where she taught for many years. Then, she specialized in Pattern Making Technology at FIT - Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. Today, Elaine is a professor of Pattern Making at PUC - Rio.

Measurement standardization research

From 1995 to 1999, Elaine Radicetti devoted herself to a master's degree in Science of Production Engineering and Product Management. In her master dissertation, entitled "Standardized Anthropometric Measurements for the Garment Industry", she developed the standardization of measurements that in the following years would be applied to the entire line of Draft dress forms.

The vast data were obtained through sample measurements of the population, made personally by Elaine, in addition to pre-existing measures in other scientific studies. The results, so innovative, were applied to dress forms and were widely adopted in fashion industries and schools throughout Brazil.
